Graphic Designer
This opportunity is ideal for students looking to add to their portfolio and gain more experience or for anyone wanting to participate in social justice matters.
Graphic Designer Job Duties:
Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
Plans concept by studying information and materials.
Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
Graphic Designer Skills and Qualifications:
Graphic Design Skills Layout Skills, Creative Services, Customer Focus, Creativity, Flexibility, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Desktop Publishing Tools, Acute Vision, Handles Rejection
Must have own computer, design programs, and access to internet
Time Commitment: approx. 5 hours a week
Free-Them is a non-profit organization located in Toronto that raises awareness about human trafficking and raises funds for front line organizations. We have a few major events a year, one is the Free-Them Freedom Walk which will take place in October. We need someone to design posters and advertisements for the events, as well as design awareness postcards to be distributed.
In addition, as a team member, we hope that you will be able to attend committee meetings (roughly 3 times per year) in Toronto.
